<p>The locking cover for a towbar (5) has a plastics moulded cap (1) which fits over the ball, with a lower skirt well below the middle line of the ball. A crossbar (4) is pivoted in the side of the cover, below the middle of the ball, with a locking profile to jam against the ball to lock the cover. The crossbar is located in the side of the cover by circular shaft mouldings, with the skirt of the cover moulded into parallel sides. It is operated by a security key and has no internal lock components. The cover is simple to manufacture and assemble at low cost.</p> |
