Exchange of data between central control and trains on parallel tracks - uses modified data sequence for each track to prevent cross talk between tracks

The proposed data transmission arrangement is to prevent interference between parallel data channels laid between parallel sets of rails. These data channels are for the exchange of information and transmission of instructions, between a central control station and trains on the tracks. Data is transmitted in the form of a pulse coded telegram requiring a correct response from the receiver before further action can be taken. In order to discriminate between the correct signals for a track and cross talk from the neighbouring track, the check or switching instructions occur at different points in the telegram for each track. Typically the required displacement is achieved by transmitting to both tracks with a defined and locked phase displacement between them. The probability of acting on erroneous information is very low.
