<p>The fuel tank emptying equipment for use in a garage has a flat tank (2) mounted on a two wheeled trolley on pivot mountings for height adjustment. A nozzle (9) is hooked into the top of the vehicle fuel tank and the equipment tank is vented by a suction connection (12) to draw fuel from the vehicle. The rest of the fuel is drawn out by a syphon action. To replace the fuel the tank is raised above the level of the vehicle tank. The equipment can be used in small garages without expensive equipment. The suction is derived from a venturi pump driven off an air line, or by a hand operated pump. The device does not impose any pressure strain on the vehicle tank.</p> |
