PURPOSE:To provide an ink-jet head which is provided with the second liquid chamber on the ink jetting side of the nozzle and which can prevent the nozzle portion from clogging as well as the apparatus from becoming dirty. CONSTITUTION:Ink 13 is fed through a feed passage 10 into a liquid chamber 8, pressurized by the action of an electrostriction element 17 and jetted from a nozzle 11 to print. In this case, in the ink jetting direction of the nozzle 11 the second liquid chamber 14 is provided which has a diameter larger than the nozzle 11 and is filled with ink when printing is not performed as well as communicates with an ink passage 16. Being filled into the second liquid chamber 14 when printing is not performed, ink is hardly dried, so that the nozzle is never clogged therewith. |
