The support strut for front wheel independent suspension has the rear end of the strut (5) braced on a profiled support arm (7) mounted on the chassis by two elastic mountings (9,8) with vertical axes. The arm is bent so that the two mountings and the thrust end of the strut form a triangle of unequal sides. The strut is set behind the axle (3) and provides a compact support for the independent suspension. The angled arm has the mountings set forward and with a selection of elasticity provides a dampened support.
