<p>An automatic feed system for farm animals consists of a storage vessel and a metering device electrically controlled as a function of time adapted to the age and type of animal. There is a cone-shaped, pyramid-shaped cover (23) between the storage vessel (11) and the metering device (18). The supply hole (25) is located between the circumference (24) of the cover and a wall of the storage vessel. The metering device is operated by an electromagnet (29) switched on by a clock (27). The switch-on time is controlled by a timer mechanism (28). The feed is passed through a funnel (15) into a feed trough (17).</p> |
