The retaining clip for a car windscreen has a moulded plastics peg, clipped into the U-shaped channel (7) in the seal, between the edge of the windscreen and the body shell. The clip is twisted through 90 degrees and with a cam shaped foot presses against the sides of the channel for a clamping action. The head of the clip has a tag (8b) which grips over the edge of the glass. The clips are easily inserted around the glass and provide a simple, replaceable hold. A trim strip (13) is clipped over the clips and provides a sealed finish. The clips are removed and fitted without any special tools. |
