<p>The pivoted footrests for use with roller-mounted (boat) seats are pivot-, hinge- or similarly mounted, free to rotate about a transverse axis. They have fittings for restraining the feet. They may be in one piece for both feet or in separate pieces. They can be made of wood, plastics or metal and may be constructed to permit dismantling. The supporting bearings may be of synthetic material, or waterproof ball-, roller- or similar type. The hinge for the footrests can be tilted to the seat to allow longer movements of the tiller.</p> |
