CONSTITUTION:The magnetic head 4 detects the magnetic intensity of the magnetic ink character symbol for a sample printed with the magnetic ink. The magnetic intensity is then amplified to be supplied to the A/D converter 13. In this case, the output of the converter 13 receives a time division by the signal supplied from the control circuit 14 and is put into the comparator 15 to be compared with the reference value 16. In case the measurement symbol is equal to the standard symbol as a result of comparison, the measurement symbol is displayed on the symbol display unit 17.
