PURPOSE:To obtain the resin molded coil whose workability is excellent and also electrical, mechanical, and thermal characteristics are excellent, by employing short fibers in a resinous layer provided on the outside of a blank coil. CONSTITUTION:The blank coil 2 is set in a metal mold 3 and heated. Then, epoxy resin is impregnated in a vacuum, and the molded coil is obtained. In this case, if short glass fibers are distributed in the resin, the directions of the fibers are arranged at random and the fibers are entangled with each other. Thereore the resin is impregnated in the gaps thereof and the rigid resinous layer is formed. Since the fibers are short, they can be filled in a complex configuration uniformly at a high density. Thus, the very excellent resin-impregnated molded coil can be obtained. The length of the short fibers are 3-20mm.. If two or more kins of the fibers having different lengths are mixed with each other, the rigid resinous layer having the high filling rate can be obtained. |
