PURPOSE:To eliminate the decrease of the light characteristics of a curved fluorescent lamp, by making the inner wall of a curved light-transmitting airtight case made of a low lead glass having a given composition to be coated with both a transparent film made of a metal compound and boric anhydride, and a fluorescent- body film. CONSTITUTION:A curved light-transmitting airtight case is made of either a soda- lime glass or a low lead glass which contains not more than 12wt% of lead oxide. The inner wall of this case is coated with a transparent film made of both boric anhydride, and one or a number of metal compound(s) chosen out of aluminum oxide, antimony oxide, magnesium oxide, silicon dioxide, titanium oxide and calcium phosphate. After that, the transparent film is coated with a fluorescent-body film. |
