PURPOSE:To obtain a healthful food for promoting the urination, having a moderate flavor, and containing much nutritive substances, by kneading powdered water oat material with a dried powdered material of Ascophyllum nodosum, water and a binding agent. CONSTITUTION:A dried powdered water oat is mixed with a dried algal material of Ascophyllum nodosum in a mixer with agitation, and then kneaded with weter and a small amount of a binding agent, e.g. gum arabic, to give a somewhat hard material, which is then formed into a tablet or granule by a tablet machine or granulating machine. The dried powdered water oat material to be used is obtained by drying a collected root, stem and leaf of the water oat in the sun, cutting the dried root, etc., washing the root, etc. with water lightly not to lose effective components, drying, sterilizing and pulverizing the washed root, etc. by a pulverizer into powder.
