PURPOSE:To obtain an alcohol with high concentration form a dilute alcohol solution without fear of scale with elimination of energy, by raising the temperature of vapor of the top of a distillation column under pressure, preparing steam with salt water removed by the heat, utilizating the steam to heat the still solution. CONSTITUTION:A dilute alcohol is sent from the pipe 1 through the heat exchanger E to the coarse enriching column A, and highly alcohol-containing steam is sent from the pipe 2 to the enriching column B. Alcohol steam with high concentration obtained from the top of the column is sent to the compressor C, pressured to about 3-5atm., heated, and transferred to the boiler D. While water for boiler preheated with condensed alcohol by the heat exchanger E is fed to the water evaporator D and heated by the compressed steam from the pipe 5 to give steam, which is transferred to the bottom of the coarse enriching column A by the pipe 11. Condensed alcohol is taken out from the pipe 7, and made to pass through the heat exchanger F to preheat water for boiler. The condensed alcohol is partly returned to the enriching column B for reflux, and a product is obtained through the cooler G. |
