PURPOSE:The titled composition stable to light, heat, water, etc., obtained by blending methylene chloride useful as a solvent for removing fats from metal and cleaning, etc. with propylene oxide, 1,4-dioxane, and preferably, a lower alcohol and a dialkylamine. CONSTITUTION:Methylene chloride is blended with propylene oxide (0.01-1.0wt) and 1,4-dioxane (0.001-1.0wt%), preferably with the above-mentioned two components and 0.0001-1.0wt% lower alcohol (e.g., methanol) and/or dialkylamine (e.g., diethylamine), to give a methylene chloride composition. EFFECT:Stable to oxidation, pyrolysis, hydrolysis, etc. under severe conditions where light, heat, water, metallic powder, dissolved substance, abrasive, etc. are present. USE:An industrial solvent, paint remover, coating compound solvent, solvent for print base plate, etc. |
