PURPOSE:To store a raw cut rice cake at ordinary temperature for a long term, by enclosing the raw cut rice cake and a CO2 absorbing agent in a packaging material nonpermeable to air or airtight container. CONSTITUTION:A raw cut rice cake and a deoxidizing agent, e.g. iron powder or hydroquinone, packed in an air-permeable film and a CO2 absorbing agent, e.g. NaOH or Ca(OH)2, are enclosed and stored in a packaging material nonpermeable to air or airtight container. According to the method, the generation of white spots like molds consisting of yeast fungal colonies kgrowing on the conventional raw cut rice cake packed with a deoxidizing agent can be suppressed. |
