PURPOSE:To obtain a pressure fixing toner usable on plain paper and superior in fluidity, by adding a liquid epoxy resin and a solid chlorinated paraffin to a solid epoxy resin as a resin component each in a specified amount range. CONSTITUTION:2-30pts.wt. epoxy resin liquid at normal temperature and 10- 100pts.wt. solid chlorinated paraffin of 50-75% chlorination rate are added to 100pts.wt. solid epoxy resin of >=60 deg.C softening point together with a colorant, a charge controlling agent, and other necessary additives, mixed, heat neaded, pulverized, and classified to obtain a toner of 3-20mum particle diameter. A magnetic powder may be added to prepare a magnetic toner. The obtained toner does not cause melt attachment to one another particles and agglomeration, has good dispersivity of the colorant, the magnetic powder, etc., and superior pressure fixability on plain paper, and forms a sharp, fogless copy image. |
