PURPOSE:The titled apparatus giving a homogeneous powdered synthetic polymer of excellent quality in a short reaction time, which comprises a horizontal reaction vessel equipped with a rotary shaft provided with a screw blade having a large number of apertures and a scraper. CONSTITUTION:Within a horizontal cylindrical reaction vessel 1 having feed nozzle 3 at the top of the front end and exit nozzle 4 at the bottom of the rear end, and surrounded by jacket 2 of a heating medium, rotary shaft 5 equipped with axial screw blade 6 having a large number of apertures 7 all over the surface is rotably provided, said blade 6 being circumferentially and axially equipped with a planar scraper 8 which traverses screw groove 9. EFFECT:It is possible to stably obtain a homogeneous chip product of excellent quality in a short reaction time, because the apparatus in excellent in mixing performance and surface renewability, and gives a chip large surface area. |
