PURPOSE:To obtain a toner having surface roughness and easy pressure-fixability, by dissolving off a soluble matter from a powder containing a binder and a colorant both insoluble in a solvent, and a solvent-soluble releasable compound. CONSTITUTION:As a solvent-soluble releasable compound, when a solvent is water, ethylenediamine tetraacetic acid cobalt complex salt, sodium chloride, or the like, is used, and when the solvent is an organic compound, a soluble polymer, an oil- soluble dye, or the like is used. As a solvent-insoluble binder, polyethylene, or the like, and as a colorant, carbon black, an organic pigment, or the like are used. For example, polyethylene of 10-10<6>cp melt viscosity at 140 deg.C as a pressure fixable binder, carbon black, and oil-soluble dye or the like soluble in solvents and not sofetning at the softening point of the binder are molten, mixed, cooled, pulverized, and immersed in a solvent to dissolve off the oil-soluble dye. Then, it is classified to obtain a toner. The toner thus obtained has surface roughness, superior fixability due to easy pressure crushability, large surface area, and sufficient triboelectricity. |
