The heating capacitors are mounted in parallel between two plates. The capacitors are fixed to the outer face of one of the collecting plates, are connected to the second plate by connections made through the first plate and the insulation between the plates, without making contact with the first plate. Each condenser consists of three electrodes in a stack interleaved by two dielectric sheets cooled by conduction. The outer electrodes are joined to form one pole and the centre electrode the outer pole of the capacitor which is connected by a solid bar to the outer collecting plate. The system allows a reactive power to be obtained which is practically unlimited without there being any possibility of abnormal over-heating.
