The horticultural waterer comprises a series of gutters which have a V-shaped profile. Slits are formed at intervals along the apex of the V to permit water to escape drop by drop. The gutters are supported on metal stakes (2) which have flanges (14) fixed to them to limit the depth to which they are driven into the ground. The upper ends of the stakes are formed into V-shapes complementary to the profile of the gutters. The extremity of each stake is bent (13) inwardly to retain the lip of the gutter and alternate stakes are positioned in opposite directions to stabilise the gutters.
