<p>The coupling provides a progressive modification ratio of the transmission ratio between a driving and a driven shaft to give a constant drive couple, a constant power output or to vary in accordance with external parameters monitored by respective sensors. The coupling uses pairs of gears with a mobile element, carrying two gears. The gears have a different transmission ratio and a common axis, positioned between the two shafts. The mobile element exhibits a controlled rotation which can be reversed and which determines the transmission ratio between the shafts. Pref. an internal electromechanical unit controls the rotation of the mobile element and also allows it to be immodilised. The coupling can be used for ind. plant and for automobiles.</p> |
