PURPOSE:To ensure an effective application of a summanry memory for various purposes, by securing a setting of the scale of the summary memory to the index memory. CONSTITUTION:The program code is put in through the ten key 24 on the keyboad, and then the numerical value of indexes A-N are put in along with the subtotal key 25 by pushing the PS key 22 and then the ten key 24. Finally the cash total key 26 is pushed, and thus the supplied index data is read out to the CPU1 by the input/ output controller 14 to be set into the index memory 31. With setting of the memory 31, the scale of the sales total memory for each calssification is calulated by multiplying the scale 32 of each total memory by the numerical value shown by the index memory corresponding to the relevant total memory. In such way, a mechanism that can set the scale of the memory 32 is provided to the memory 31 of an electronic cash register, thus ensuring an effective application of the memory 32. |
