Peristaltic pump with conical rollers - has flexible tube compressed by rollers into groove of varying depth

The peristaltic pump has a cylindrical housing (8) containing a motor which drives a rotor (11). The rotor carries three equally spaced conical rollers (15) on radially aligned spindles (17). The rollers run on the conical surface of the housing end cover (2). The end cover has a circular groove of varying depth which houses a flexible tube (24). The fluid entering the tube is held between two successive restrictions due to the rollers (15) and forced through the tube towards the deeper part of the circular groove where the tube is no longer compressed and the fluid flows out of the pump.
