The net (1) is made of perforated cloth, the perforation size being chosen to keep out all insects, and the dimensions of the net match the window frame to which it is to be fixed. Around every edge of the net and the window frame it either a row of press studs or a strip of hooked-pile fastening fabric. On the outside base and outside top of the net is another layer of fixings so that when the bottom is undone and the net folded upwards, these extra fixings meet and the net can be held in the open position.
