Cooling water tank for IC engine - has filler relieving air pressure before water passage is open to flow

The tank (6) has a pressure relief valve (3) at the top. It has a filling spout (2) at an angle in the side. The spout contains a second valve (7) loaded by a spring which abuts on the cap (11) of the spout. An air relief pipe (10) from the top of the tank terminates (9) in the spout under the cap (11). In the closed position the cap shuts the relief pipe and holds the valve closed. In a semi-open position it releases the end of the pipe without allowing the valve to open and in a fully open position it allows the valve to open.
