PURPOSE:To shorten the time required for priority transmission, by providing an original priority transmission word in a priority transmission frame during priority transmission. CONSTITUTION:As items in transmission frame 1 to be transmitted on priority basis normally, item bit 7 for word 6, item bit 7' for word 6' and item bit 7'' for word 6'' are transmitted, but in priority transmission frame 3 in priority transmission mode, priority transmission word 8 constituted only in the priority transmission is provided behind synchronizing word 4 and office number word 5. Item bits 7, 7' and 7'' for the priority transmission are collected in this transmission word 8 and transmitted. Then, priority transmission flag 9 for discriminating the priority transmission flag 9 for discriminating the prirority transmission frame and office number word 5 are added. Consequently, that the priority transmission is being held to the side which has received the priority transmission frame is recognized. |
