The shortwave radiation therapy appts. has two movable support arms for capacitor field or coil field electrodes, each connected by an insulated supply lead to a HF. current source. The arms have an outer sheathing (1) of flexible insulating flexible material surrounding a metal coil (3) wound together with a support coil (2). The arm is held in any required position due to the mechanical frictional adherence between the two coils (2,3). The latter simultaneously act as the supply lead for the HF current. The electrodes can be readily brought into alignment with any part of the body, without any entanglement due to the supply leads.
