<p>The optical sighting device for the parallel and perpendicular movement of an excavator shovel (1) comprises a laser gun (5) and two transparent sighting discs (2,3). These are mounted directly on the excavator shovel (1) and lie in the line of sight of the excavator operator. Markings are provided on both sides of the discs (2,3) and aligned with the laser beam (4) to allow the operator to move the excavator shovel (1) parallel to the laser beam (4) which appears as a light spot on each disc (2,3). The sighting device is used for excavating long drainage channels. The operator may have a remote-control transmitter cooperating with a receiver mounted on the laser gun (5) coupled to a servomotor for pivoting the laser gun (5) about a vertical axis (A-A).</p> |
