An arm, in a bearing block on the fixed frame, swivelling about a frame-parallel axis, has a recess for a locking lug on the wing, in provision for fixing window or door wings in a ventilating setting. The arm (10) is fixable against spring-type force (17) in a rest position, and automatically swivels into the path of the lug (14), on release of the arresting device. This path lies on a different plane from the recess (11), in the wing closed position. The arm is returnable to the lug path by the wing opening movement, against the spring force.
