Large-diameter gas pipe stop valve - has plug and ring sealing faces adjacent to coolant passages

The stop valve is for a large-diameter pipe handling gas at high temperature and pressure, and has a spherical rotary plug against which sealing rings are pressed, the ring faces being supplied with a current of coolant. The sealing faces of the plug and of the rings are each adjacent to a passage through which coolant flows. Each passage has an inlet pipe with coolant flow regulator, also an outlet pipe with a coolant temp. emitter connected to the regulator. The inlet and outlet pipes can be extended by holes in the plug pivot trunnions.
