<p>The transporter for concrete preforms has an extending boom (6) with a pivoted lifting head (15) to grip inside the roof of the preform, and with the boom mounted on a support frame (4) which swivels on the lorry chassis. The frame can be swung 90 degrees to either side to enable the boom to drop the preforms to either side of the lorry. The boom is pivoted about a vertical axis (3) through the centre of gravity of the preform in the retracted position. A securing strut (7) on the rear end of the frame stabilises the structure onto the ground before the boom is extended.</p> |
