PURPOSE:To enable flaw detection of high precision by adjusting transmitting and receiving timing by correcting a set time via an electric computer, etc., corresponding to time response characteristics of ultrasonic-wave oscillator, etc. CONSTITUTION:Oscillation outputs generated when ultrasonic-wave oscillators 21, 22... are triggered at the same time are detected by signal detectors 31, 32... and time delay detector 10 detects the time delay that corresponds to time response characteristics of respective oscillators 21, 22.... On the basis of the time delay, electronic computer 11 corrects successive delay times set to time delay setter 9 by oscillators 21, 22.... Consequently, ultrasonic-wave transmitting and receiving timing of vibrators 11, 12... is adjusted through timing signal generator 8 corresponding to time response characteristics due to variance of element parts. On the other hand, computer 11 controls high-speed sampling circuit 6 after reception corresponding to the delay time that corresponds to time response characteristics to perform high- precision ultrasonic flaw detection by interference without selecting parts characteristics rigidly. In addition, when both receiving timing and transmitting-receiving timing are adjusted, the same results is obtained. |
