<p>The invention refers to cylindrical bearings for guiding a shaft. Each bearing element comprises a centering ring (4) made of a material having a thermal expansion coefficient higher than that of the material of the shaft (1), for example polytetrafluoroethylen arranged substantially coaxially to the shaft with a play such that upon an appropriate cooling, the ring hoopes to the shaft. The method for the relative centering of the shaft (1) and the bearing comprises then a cooling step down to a temperature such that the ring (4) is hooped to the shaft. Then, each bearing element is motionless and fixed. Application to pumps. </p> |
