PURPOSE:To stably manufacture a thin metallic sheet in an arbitrary thickness, by controlling the rolling load and revolutional number of the press rolls at continuously manufacturing a metallic thin sheet from the molten metal by the swaging roll and the press rolls rotating while touching the revolving metallic circular ring at its inner surface. CONSTITUTION:A swaging roll 3 is arranged inside the metallic circular ring 1 which has a large radius and effects the cooling of the molten metal; the circular ring 1 is revolved and the swaging roll 3 is rotated, and then, the molten metal 8 is injected from the nozzle 2 into the gap between the ring 1 and the swaging roll 3. The injected molten metal 8 is quickly cooled by the metallic circular ring 1 and solidifies; this solidified metal 8 is pressed and formed into a thin sheet 7 by the swaging roll 3. This metallic thin sheet 7 is pressed and cooled by the press rolls 4 arranged next to the swaging roll 3, and is finished into the thin sheet product which is then stripped from the inner surface of the circular ring 1 by the scarper 6. Hereupon, the rolling load and revolutional number of the press rolls 4 are controlled so as to enable the manufacture of the metallic thin sheet in an arbitrary thickness. |
