The rotary, preferably oblong instrument for bone surgery has a convex surface, and spiral faces coated with diamonds or other grinding material. In sectional view and in the direction of rotation, these faces (4) extend from a radiused portion at the edge of the respective adjacent groove (11). The radius of the faces is less than that of the circle (6) by which the instrument (1) is circumscribed. From the opposite groove edge (7) the face rises in a curve to this circle, and drops more steeply towards the groove bottom.
|
