PURPOSE:To obtain the floppy disc having accurate orientation to the center position, by arranging an easy-to-magnetize axis of magnetic powder to the belt-shaped film providing magnetic layer through the use of oriented magnet group permitting rotation and punching after the setting of reference position. CONSTITUTION:On the belt-shaped body such as polyester film, a medium element 12 coated with magnetic substance material is intermittently fed toward the arrow C, the element 12 is stopped with undried magnetic substance material, and oriented magnet groups 3, 3' fixing sector-shaped magnets 4, 5; 4', 5' to axes 2, 2' are rotated to a given direction, and the easy-to-magnetize axis of magnetic powder is oriented concentrically to a center point 12b to a given direction. On the other hand, a punch 6 is driven toward the arrow A and an positioning hole 12c is made on the element 12. After the end of orientation, it is fed toward the arrow C, and after the processes such as drying, surface polishment and production of protective film, the hole 12c is detected at a sensor 11 with a punching press 7, the center point of the blade 10 and the center point 12b are accurately matched to punch out the floppy disc 13. Thus, continuous manufacture can be made. |
