PURPOSE:To enable the recording excellent in the short wave recording characteristics with high density and simple construction, by applying a signal multiplied with the coefficient of leakage signal compensation and other channel signal to a signal fed to each of a plurality of magnetic heads. CONSTITUTION:Magnetic heads consisting of an energizing coil 3 and an auxiliary magnetic pole 4 are closely arranged, and a main magnetic pole 2 is located opposingly to this. A recording medium 1 runs between them. Signals A, B of channels corresponding to each magnetic head are input via recording amplifiers 11a, 11b and adders 12a, 12b. Further, the coefficient corresponding to the signal leakage ratio of the channel signals B, A of others via compensation amplifiers 13a, 13b is multiplied to the signals B, A, and the result is fed to adders 12a, 12b. Thus, the signals A, B compensated with the leakage magnetic field are input to the energizing coil 3. Thus, the vertical magnetization recording excellent in the short wave recording characteristics with simple construction and high density can be made. |
