<p>PURPOSE:To prevent a form from growing yellowish by cooling a preheater with air, by providing a valve which blows air with the form floated over the preheater when the form stops at the fixing device of an electrostatic copier. CONSTITUTION:The fixing device has preheater 2 which supplies heat to form 7 and entrance suction part 3 which stabilizes the form at the preheater entrance part, and supplies heat to form 1 efficiently by bringing the form in close contact with preheater 2. When form 1 stops, placing change-over valve 7 at the pressure side connects intermediate suction part 4 to pressure blower 6 while entrance vacuum part 3 maintains suction force, and form 1 on preheater 2 floats with a blast of air to separate from the heater, so that yellowing will be prevented. Normally, change-over valve 7 is coupled with vacuum blower 5 and entrance suction part 3 and intermediate suction part 4 are operated to bring form 1 into close contact with the preheater, thereby supplying heat with efficiency.</p> |
