PURPOSE:To obtain magnetic recording media improving the performance of dispersion of magnetic powder and the bonding force with binder, by coupling the magnetic powder processed with titanium compound having an easy-to-hydrolyze group and the unsaturated group hard to hydrolyze and lipophilic, with the polymerization of unsaturated group with the binder having the unsaturated group. CONSTITUTION:After sufficiently mixing Ti chemical compound having one or more of alkoxyl group ease to hydrolyze and one or more of unsaturated group hard to hydrolyze and lipophilic such as (meta)acryllic acid group, and magnetic powder in a solvent by using a ball mill or the like, and after coating the magnetic paint mixed with the solution of binder (butadiene-acnironitrile copolymer) having unsaturated group on the supporting body, the bonding force between the magnetic powder and the binder is made strong with the polymerization of the unsaturated group of Ti compound coupled with the magnetic powder by photopolymerization and of the binder. Thus, the peeling-off of magnetic powder from tape can be prevented and the durability can be increased. |
