PURPOSE:To reduce a load of a CPU and to efficiently overlay a format pattern onto 9 character pattern, by constituting the system so as to the format is designated by a short data. CONSTITUTION:When the code information is transferred from the CPU, a command code, a format pattern designation code, and other character code are input the command register 16, the format register 15, and the character code register 14, respectively. After the line feed operation has been finished by the prescribed number, a pattern designation code is converted to a format pattern by the format pattern generator 18, and it is output to a print head through the print data selector 21. Subsequently, after the format pattern has been output, a character pattern is selected and is made to pass through from the character pattern generator 17 by the selector 21. Subseqnently, a slip is printed by changing the pattern with the selector 21 to output it in order in the same way. |
