PURPOSE:To compare the combinations and characteristics of OCR price tags and enable plural kinds of OCR price tags to be inputted by storing the combinations of the respective lines of the OCR price tags and the characteristics of the respective lines thereof. CONSTITUTION:An input-output control circuit 22, and a program memory 27 and a data memory 28 are connected to a CPU21 which executes the operation and processing of an ECR, and areas for an OCR processing buffer 33, an OCR combination memory 31 and an OCR characteristic memory 32 are provided, besides storage areas for sales data, sales totals and OCR data inputs, are provided to this memory 28. The combinations of the lines used for OCR price tags are stored in this memory 31, and OCR characteristics such as digit numbers of effective figures of each line, classification codes of merchandise, are stored in this memory 32.At the OCR inputting from a keyboard 23 and registering of merchandise by the operation of merchandise register keys, the combinations and characteristics of the OCR price tags are compared, and the respective lines other than the price lines of OCR are printed by the digit number shown by the effeftive digits of the memory 32, with a printer 25. |
