CO GAS DETECTING ELEMENT AND MANUFACTURE THEREOF

PURPOSE:To reduce the change on standing of the element and thereby improve the reproducibility thereof by employing a burnt material prepared by burning powdered material of tin dioxide with aluminum oxide disolved solidly therein, wherein borosilicate glass with zirconium oxide dissolved therein is contained. CONSTITUTION:A semiconductor element 3 for detection of gas is printed on a substrate 1 with an electrode 2 and a heater 4 for heating attached beforehand thereto. The element 3 is formed of the burnt material prepared by burning powdered material of tin dioxide with aluminum oxide dissolved solidly therein, wherein borosilicate glass with zirconium oxide dissolved therein is contained. This element 3 has high sensitivity to CO gas and shows little change on standing.
