PURPOSE:To make a pattern be preset up present up to the boundary of the rise of schematic characters by pressing a memory alloy, forming thereby a part of the schematic characters in the dial, later making the part flat by cold rolling and then performing patterning on the dial. CONSTITUTION:By using a hoop material (0.2-0.5mm.) of memory alloy of nickel, titanium, copper, aluminum, nickel and the like as a base material, a schematic character part in the dial is pressed out by a press. On the occasion, extra pressing is applied to the outer-peripheral part thereof as occasion calls so as to help the flow of thickness. Next, the projected part of the abovementioned schematic characters in the dial is suppressed by the cold rolling to turn the material to be original flat hoop material. Moerover, rough pressing is made to obtain an external shape of the dial a size larger than a finished external shape and then patterning is applied on to the surface of the dial. Thereafter, a high temperature exceeding a point of transformation is applied in the atmosphere of vacuum or inactive gas, thereby the projected part of the schematic characters in the dial is restored, and the upper surface of the schematic characters is cut. After that, plating, coating, printing and others are applied and thus the material is finished as the dial. |
