The installation comprises a water heater (1) for heating with conventional energy, at least one water heater (6) for heating with non-conventional energy, in particular solar energy, and a mixing battery (5) with two inlets (4, 8) connected to the outlets of said water heaters and an outlet connected to a hot-water feed network. Said battery (5) performs a regulated mixing function in such a manner that the hot water delivered to its outlet has an essentially constant minimum temperature. The inlet (8) of the battery, to which the water heater (6) for heating with non-conventional energy is connected, has a preferential connection to the outlet of the battery itself in the sense that, when the water taken in at this preferential inlet (8) has a temperature equal to the preset minimum temperature of the outlet water, no water is made to pass from the other inlet (4) to the outlet of the battery. With the installation thus designed, the problem of better utilisation of the additional non-conventional energy source is solved and the advantage of maximum saving of conventional energy is achieved. <IMAGE>
