The bracelet closure is composed of a stirrup (E) and a hook (C). The stirrup includes a safety device (5) formed by a pivoting tube (6), by an opening rod and by a ball tube (8). In order to close the closure, the hook must be engaged in the stirrup so that the groove (18) of the fastening block (17) is fitted around a small bar (4) of the stirrup and then aligned on the latter by rotating around this small bar. The safety device (5) is then folded over by a single pressure exerted under the wrist so that the balls (10) of the tube (8) are fastened by hooking into the housings (12) of the stirrup. In the closed position, the safety device is housed entirely within the thickness of the stirrup. The closure is opened by unhooking the safety device with the aid of a stud located at the end of the rod. The closure is very compact, invisible and very thin, closing is automatic and a pulling force exerted on the bracelet tends to strengthen closing. <IMAGE>
