PURPOSE:To freely project a buckle over a seat only at the time of using a seat belt by turning the buckle adapted to engage with a seat belt tongue plate to an engaging installation position when the close state is detected by a door switch and taking a seat is detected by a seat switch. CONSTITUTION:There are provided switches DS1, DS2 for detecting opening and closing of a door and switches SE1, SE2 for detecting the existence/absence of persons taking a seat at seat portions, which are connected to a control processing portion CPU with a constant voltage circuit CV. Buckles BK1, BK2 with which a tongue plate mounted on one end of a seat belt is engaged are provided on one side of each seat in such a manner as to be freely driven to an engaging position projected over the seat and to a storing portion under the seat. On detecting that a door is closed and a person takes a seat, solenoid drivers SD1, SD2 of the buckles are operated to turn the buckles to the engaging position on the seat. Only when the seat belt is used, the buckle is freely projected over the seat to facilitate putting on a belt. |
