PURPOSE:To record inexpensive and better picture information dispensing with stabilizing power source by controlling the energizing time for the blocks comprising a plurality of thermo-sensitive recording elements corresponding to the number of elements in the block. CONSTITUTION:For example, in a thermal head designed to form 2,048 thermosensitive elements divided into 8 blocks, the number of elements 5 connected to a DC power source device of a driving circuit 4 varies within the range of 0-256 in each block. Power is supplied to the block by a time corresponding to the number of the elements driven by means of a gate circuit 3. In other words, when a picture information (b) is inputted into a shift register 8, it is counted with a counter 92 and transmitted to a logic circuit 94 via a decoder 93. Based on the input, the logic circuit 94 selects a proper gate from among ANd gate blocks connected to a timer block 95. Then, when a recording starting signal (e) is inputted, gate is opened and a signal (f) is outputted to open the gate circuit 3 only for a specified time (the combination of T1-T4). |
