<p>2-Amino-4-picoline thiosalicylate (I) is a new topical analgesic and antiinflammatory. (I) is prepd. by reaction of thiosalicyclic acid with 2-amino-4-picoline and may be formulated as a cream, ointment, solution, lotion, spray or gel contg. 5-20% (I). Oral LD50 is 350 mg per kg (rat) or 265 mg per kg (mouse). Intraperitoneal LD50 is 75 mg per kg (rat and 100 mg per kg (mouse).</p> |
