PURPOSE:A powdered cosmetic is made into a slurry by mixing with a volatile solvent, placed in a vessel, dried to evaporate the solvent to make the powdered cosmetic into a cake, thus producing a caked powder cosmetic in a vessel, which shows a good pick up to the puff. CONSTITUTION:When a powdered cosmetic is placed in a vessel and made into a cake, the powdered cosmetic such as face powder, eye shadow, cheek rouge, or mascara is combined with a volatile solvent boiling at lower than 200 deg.C such as ethanol, isopropanol or isoper in an amount of 50-150% based on the powdered cosmetic to give a slurry. Then, the slurry is placed in a vessel and dried to evaporate the solvent, thus making the cosmetic into a cake. EFFECT:Charge to a vessel and formation of the products can be made in shorter times and higher efficiency than the press molding. Further, it causes no problem on cosmetic caking. |
