The machine fills vessels with measured quantities of liq. having a filling unit with measuring cylinder connected to a tank. The cylinder has an adjustable-height component guided in its cover and extending inside it to adjust the quantity of liq. dispensed, and is connected to the tank by supply and vent pipes. The supply pipe contains a supply valve, also a fillter valve at the outlet with a centering device raised and lowered by the vessel, and a return gas pipe connected to the tank passes through the valve and determines the height to which filling takes place. The adjustable-height component comprises a displacement body protruding freely into the measuring cylinder, and enclosed at the cylinder cover by a sealing ring. It is adjusted by a mechanism mounted on the cover. Separate air supply and vent pipes are provided, and are connected alternately by a control member (39) and a passage through the cylinder cover to the measuring cylinder.
